Damage Repair

Animals can do a surprising amount of damage to your home. Whether it be the chewings of rodents, the removal of screenings by a raccoon, the droppings of a colony of bats, or the digging of a skunk, our company can fix the damage, and eliminate the source of the problem. Be aware that all rodents will chew anything - including electrical wires - a potential fire hazard.

Emergency Service

Some nuisance wildlife situations can be classified as emergencies. These include exposure to potentially dangerous animals, such as rabid raccoons or poisonous snakes. Some people carry phobias toward certain animals as well, and may consider a sudden unwelcome visit by a bat, for example, as an emergency. Perhaps an animal is loose in your house and causing damage. There might be a squirrel or rat running through the house, or a raccoon that fell through the ceiling and is now cornered in the house. If you are in an emergency situation, we can come at any time, day or night, and as quickly as possible.

Dead Animal Removal

Dead animals attract all matter of vermin and disease, not to mention new nuisance animals which wish to feed on the carcass. Of course, the smell and sight are also offensive. If an animal has died on your property and you do not wish to dispose of it yourself due to health concerns or other reasons, we can remove it for you and dispose of it in a proper manner for a small service fee. If the dead animal(s) is within the architecture of your house we can find its location and remove it. This may involve some dismantling, for example, the removal of drywall behind which a dead carcass is located. Charges for animal removal within homes vary depending upon the difficulty of the removal. Describe your problem in detail, and we can provide an estimate.

Property Service

Our company will work with residential owners and managers of condominiums, apartment buildings, church and school grounds, etc. to pest-proof affected areas, secure livestock from predation, provide Canada goose control, containment of digging animals in cemeteries, etc. This often involves habitat modification to make your property, once an attractive home to wildlife, less prone to pests.

Exclusion - Keeping Critters Out!

The capture and removal of nuisance animals in the home is only half the problem. If the entryway to the house is not found, a new animal will take the old one’s place. This is particularly true of the spaces under porches, decks, and sheds. These areas provide ideal habitat for a number of animals. We will make sure that no animals invade your space again. Our exclusion barriers are built to last, and are 100% effective at keeping unwanted critters from getting back in.

When it comes to animals getting in, we also fully inspect the chimney. Sometimes a flue is totally un-capped allowing for easy access of bats, birds and raccoons. Some flues have old rusty caps that a raccoon has torn through or pulled off the flue. Some caps loosen over time and a storm has blown them off.

After we’re finished removing animals from the chimney, we cap the chimney. Our stainless steel caps are guaranteed for life!!! They will prevent the most driven raccoon, squirrel or bat from gaining access. A cap also protects your chimney from flue, tile and mortar erosion by keeping the rain out. Leaves will stay out and hot debris won’t escape.

While we’re at it, we also examine the chimney crown to assess potentially costly damage and a safety hazard from bricks loosening and falling. The crown is the entire top face of the chimney that surrounds the flue. Over time, the weather elements will cause cracking and spalling. Eventually bricks will loosen.

Spalling — sometimes incorrectly called spaulding or spalding — is the result of water penetrating brick, concrete, or natural stone. It forces the surface to peel, pop out, or flake off. It’s also known as flaking, especially in limestone. Spalling happens in concrete because of moisture in the concrete.

In order to prevent chimney bricks from loosening over time, an application of a crown sealant over the entire crown is recommended every 10-15 years. This sealant acts as a barrier to prevent water from penetrating the brick and concrete.

We are trained to inspect and repair the crown, using the best sealant available to us. It comes with a 15 year manufacturer warranty. So, by the time we leave your house, not only is your chimney animal proofed, but your chimney crown is restored. The asthetics of the top of the chimney will look much better too!!!
