Also known as woodchucks, groundhogs can potentially cause serious damage to your home's foundation. This is possible because they dig extensively to create multi-chambered burrows. They also have been known to remove up to 700 pounds of soil.
Voracious eaters, groundhogs can quickly destroy gardens as they tend to eat about a third of their weight daily.
